Q.

Hi, My baby is 11 months old suffering from high fever 102.We are giving Meftal and paracetamol as suggested by doctor.Please suggest.

A. Please suggest how to give sponge and what all parts of body I should give sponge? Doctor told that its viral infection. Please suggest how long it will take to recover?

A. sorry about the age of baby.Its 1year 11 months not 11 months.

A. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature. also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol. higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation. after giving fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving

A. hi dear If your baby is younger than 3 months old, contact the doctor for any fever. If your baby is 3 to 6 months old and has a temperature up to 102 F (38.9 C) and seems sick or has a temperature higher than 102 F (38.9 C), contact the doctor.
