Hi, Is Flexon syrup (4 ml) safe to be given to my daughter who is 16 months old, if having fever above 99 degrees c

A. paracetamol is preferable the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

A. That’s actually much on the higher side right now you can give 1.5 to 2 MM depending upon the weight of the child your child is 16 months you can give 1.5 ML in gender and if the weight is more than 12 KG then you can give 2ML
