Q.

hi... i delivered through c-section in October. am getting my periods regularly as earlier from December. Elders are saying that I shouldn't have my periods atleast upto 6 to 9months after delivery. Is it normal or should I consult gynecologist ?

A. see lactation has irregular cycle. see more you can ask your own treating doctor. i am sure they will solve all your doubts and guide yousee only the doctor who can see you in person can judge what is the right status. best to trust her

A. If you are breastfeeding your baby, your periods may not return for several months after childbirth. This is because the hormone that causes you to make milk, prolactin, also stops you from ovulating and having your period. If you are breastfeeding day and night, it can be up to a year before your period returns.
