A. Wearing a bra with stiffness or tightness may not directly reduce milk production, but it can potentially affect your comfort and milk supply in a few ways: 1. **Comfort**: An ill-fitting or overly tight bra can cause discomfort and may lead to issues like clogged ducts if it puts pressure on your breasts. 2. **Milk Flow**: Tight bras might restrict milk flow and contribute to problems like engorgement or mastitis if they put too much pressure on the breast tissue. 3. **Proper Support**: It’s important to wear a well-fitting, supportive bra that does not constrict or cause pressure on the breasts. A bra designed for breastfeeding or one that offers good support without being too tight is usually recommended. If you have concerns about your milk supply or are experiencing any discomfort, consider adjusting your bra or consulting with a lactation consultant for personalized advice.
