Q.

Hi everyone, My daughter is 1 and a half year old and she is being vaccinated according to the government vaccine chart. but now my paediatrician is suggesting us to put JE -1 and JE -2 . It's very much important for my child it seems. I would like to know whether this vaccine is what for and is it that much important as others. please suggest anyone. Please any of the paediatric suggest me.. #Vaccination

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulfse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the sdchedule then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .
