hi Dr 11 month baby having fever,Kamp rha hai what should I do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be rulevd out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid agre usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

What’s The temperature of the child that you have not mentioned so if you think that your child is shivering because of fever we should immediately rushed to the doctor for that and also start doing cold sponging for in the meanwhile and give a medicine according to the age and weight of your child
