Hi doctor when can i start giving water to my baby. now he is 4 months 27 days old. now it is summer so i am worrying. can you please help me out with this concern. thanks.

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. hi, mom. Breast milk has got lot of water ( 80 to 90% of water) which satisfies babys thirst. Baby should be breast feed exclusively till 6 months of age. You can increase the feeding frequency n feed longer in each feeding in summers. all the best

shilpi BhandariMom of 2 children3 years agoA. No dear water should not be given to baby at this age u are already giving him breastmilk or formula milk which already contains water in it so too much of water is not required u can give it after completing six months
