my son is 17 months old. He is not walking steadily. He is taking 10 steps and he starts crawling but other motor activities were good like standing, jumping and he climbs our sofa just a sec. whether we need to consult a pediatrician or no need to worry. He is a premature baby and he did everything later like turning around, crawling.

a baby will start Sitting with support by 6 months of age and by 7 to 8 months baby will sit without support than by 9 months usually baby crawls and in  10 months baby will stand with support.
After 12 to 15 months baby will start Walking independently  and sometimes it may take even longer but in no case any Walker should bec avoidedg as it can cause recurrent fall injury and delay in the  walking because the child lacks confidence of walking independently.
