Q.

Hi doctor, My kid is 3 and half years old and he likes to eat food with less salt and with almost nil spice. Since 3 months, he is not keeping well. Getting stomach bloat, fever and cold and even was admitted in hospital for this. Relatives say as i do not give him spice and salt, his immune system got weak. I just want to know, is there any fact that spice and salt increase the immune system?

A. hi no but it can enhance taste buds ,so better to add them while preparing food for your child. so ,I advise to start with very very small quantity and gradually increase it's quantity . to strengthen your child immunity,I advise to give citrus fruits more. keep your child well hydrated. avoid giving RO water give sunlight atleast 20 minutes a day get your child Vaccinated on time.
