Hi Doctor, my kid is 1.3 months old. He is having a hydrocele in his scrotum. it appeared at his 6th month. will it go away by their own or we need surgery?

A. Hydroceles in babies usually go away on their own by the time a child is 1–2 years old. If the hydrocele doesn't go away or if it happens with another condition (like a hernia), surgery may be needed.
