A. sitting without support and crawling in children may sometimes come after one year of age also. if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry. just take care of regular diet and baby massage which will help in strengthening the muscles needed for sitting and crawling. x in some cases crawling may be absent in children and directly the child will begin to stand with support and later walk with support and then without support. take a medical check up done to confirm if there is need of any intervention.

A. It's completely normal for babies to reach developmental milestones like crawling at different times. Here’s what you can expect and how you can support your baby: 1. **Variability in Development**: Babies develop skills like crawling at different ages. Some babies start crawling as early as 6 to 7 months, while others may not crawl until closer to 10 or 11 months. Your son's ability to sit without support at 6.5 months is actually quite advanced, so he's shown good progress in that area. 2. **Pre-Crawling Skills**: Before crawling, babies often go through stages of scooting, rocking on hands and knees, or even moving backward before they figure out forward crawling. These are all normal exploratory behaviors that help them develop the strength and coordination needed for crawling. 3. **Encouraging Crawling**: - Create a safe, baby-proofed space where your son can freely explore and move around. - Place toys just out of reach to encourage him to move towards them. - Get down on the floor with him to play and demonstrate crawling movements. - Avoid excessive use of baby walkers, as they can hinder natural crawling development. 4. **Developmental Check**: If your baby is not crawling by around 10 to 11 months, it's a good idea to mention it to your pediatrician during a routine check-up. However, as long as your son is showing other signs of healthy development, such as sitting, reaching for objects, and interacting socially, there's usually no cause for concern. 5. **Supporting Overall Development**: Continue to provide opportunities for play, exploration, and interaction. Each baby develops skills at their own pace, and what's most important is that your son is progressing in his overall development. By continuing to encourage and interact with your son, he will likely start crawling when he's ready. If you have any specific concerns or notice any other developmental delays, consulting with your pediatrician can provide further guidance and reassurance.
