Hello Sir, Aahana is not picking the bottle feed as she is 5 months now. how to deal with it?

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist2 years agoA. dear mum, it is better to avoid bottle feeding for your 5 months old baby, Aahana. Bottle is risky because in spite of good cleaning bottle can cause many infections in the baby. Due to easy availability of milk a baby gets habituated to bottle-feeding & subsequently refuses to feed at the breast. Bottle can also cause problems with teeth & can have deleterious effect on mother-infant bonding.

Introduce solid food.Change the bottle nipple.Offer the milk in a sippy cup.Wean your baby from nighttime feedings.Find the reasons for the bottle strike.Offer smaller amounts of milk more frequently.Offer the bottle in a boring room.Offer the bottle in a new environment.
