Q.

Hello. My baby girl is 1 month old. Post c-section my doc recommended using nipple shield for breastfeeding as she was not able to latch and because of somewhat flat nipple. I have tried feeding her directly but failed. She only feeds with nipple shield. Is it safe to use shield permanently?

A. Hello mom Yes it is totally safe to use nipple shields if you are having a flat nipples. You just have to sterilise the nipples properly after every use and it is very important. You can go for Babyhug nipple shields it is one of the best brand. Baby should be totally on mother’s milk till six months so there is no need to give anything else.
