Hello Ma'am, Our baby is completed 12 days and Umbilical Cord Falls on 7 March. Is there need of any medication to heal the belly button? What precautions needed

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 8 m old boy2 years agoA. you can apply t bact cream locally. this cream can be applied to all three times everyday and maintain hygiene of the affected area. if there isz no improvement after 3 days then kindly meet your doctor for examination and specific treatment. clean thez area with soap and water

It is going to settle down on its own only but if you see any infection blood or any kind of water coming out of it then in that case you will have to have a full physical assessment with your child as it could be due to umbilical hernia also better be sure about it as of now
