hello I'm 18 weeks pregnant. Dr. suggested for taking stitches as I missed my first pregnancy during 17 weeks. Dr. suggest that if I'll not take stitches then there will be chance in the future months for miscarriage. I agreed for that but I just want to know that after stitches will I get any difficulty in the pregnancy? what should I do to care ?

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. If the length of the cervix is less than 2.5 cm usually they will give you cervical stitches. Frankly there won’t be any side effects after a successful surgery.there will be a risk of abortion associated with the surgery Write Your Answer Here
