hello I am giving zifi syrup is this enough for high fever? or I have to give meftal as well

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. zifi is not a medicine for fever and it is a medicine for one type of bacterial infection.
it will not have any proper effect if it is a viral infection as well as if it is a different type of bacterial infection.
for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature.
also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol.
higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation.
after giving fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving. keep the child in cool atmosphere
