hello Dr my son is 5 yrs old.. he is still sucking thumb how can I get rid of this habit

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. hello most kids will be able to get rid of the habit as they grow and you can just try to distract your child and you can try out with the reward system or you can even try this If your child has a favorite stuffed animal or toy, use it to your advantage! Pretend that Teddy wants to stop sucking his thumb. Ask your child if they can help Teddy by setting a good example and offering suggestions
