hello Dr my child is 2.3yrs old and I have given him vaccination from government hospital. recently I heard there are different types of pneumonia and mostly is not covered in government vaccination. so what do you suggest should we go for separate pneumonia vaccine in private or government covers all?. thank you in advance

A. hi your baby is 2 years old and yes it's right there are different type of pneumonia common being hemophilia influenza b which is covered by government and pcv or pneumococcal vaccine to be taken in private.though pcv is optional it is advisable to be taken

Ma’am Pneumonia vaccination is an optional vaccination if you want to go ahead with it you can but if you’ve got it done with the government hospital that’s perfectly fine there is no need to go for a private hospital for vaccination vaccination covers it all and if there is second dosage with the doctor would inform you according
