hello doctor my 7year old is having cold with 100 fever since ystrdy can you suggest what medicine is good for her.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. it is the viral flu . Cough and cold may be due to any seasonal change and due to any viral infection . Ste can be given at home and if cough is much then asthakind can also be given to baby 3 times in a day and paracetamol for the fever .

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evalubcation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
