Hello Doc, my newborn baby of 3 weeks is suffering from cough, kindly suggest what to do.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus
try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inhalation .
anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given zonly after medical consultation.
for fever and pain give paracetamol
continue the regular diet which is being given to the child

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. Maxtra is a basic antiallergy you can give it three times in the day to the child as of now and for further evaluation you can consult your Pediatrician alongside if you want you can also go ahead with nebulising the child that also helps a lot
