If your child is ranting, wait for him to finish before sending him away. If your child is aggressive or violent, first stop it. Make him sit down quietly until his anger dissipates. Teach your child breathing exercises and make him count from one to ten. This helps him to calm down. Help your child to communicate his anger verbally. Make him learn the usage of words like angry, scared, furious, irritated. Let him vent his anger on a punching bag or shout into a pillow till the urge to get violent passes off. Try to get him to talk about why he is feeling so angry. He will realise that you are letting him express his feelings instead of simply judging him. This will certainly calm him down. The parent should be calm and use an even tone while handling the child in anger.
