Rice cereal or moong dal khichdi (thin consistency) Mashed fruits like banana, apple, or pear Boiled and mashed vegetables like carrot, sweet potato, or pumpkin Ragi or suji porridge (without sugar or salt)
Start with 1-2 spoonfuls once a day, and gradually increase the quantity and variety. Always give only one new food at a time and wait 3 days before introducing another, to check for allergies. Avoid salt, sugar, honey, cow’s milk, and nuts at this stage. Continue breastfeeding or formula feeding as the main source of nutrition.
