Good morning Docter. My baby girl Nishvika having 2yrs 11months old. Birth time she drunk placenta water, she dint cry, so that time she got a fits. She was in NICU for 9days. Docter gave me gardenal syrup for fits and he told me that use this syrup till 6months. So I used to her, till now she dint have fits. She dint stand and walking also, so here Docter doing physiotherapy in the morning time. Past Saturday 23 Sept suddenly she got fits 7:15am in the morning. We take her to Kim's Icon Hospital, they kept oxygen, cyline bottle, gave injuction, and taken EEG scan also. The report is Abnormal. Docter given Levipil syrup for fits. So how many years continue that syrup's and in future fits will come or not to her ? Plz convey answer to my question for her. Thank you Sir.

A. Most children outgrow febrile seizures by age 5. Few children have more than 3 febrile seizures in their lifetime. The number of febrile seizures is not related to future risk for epilepsy. Children who would develop epilepsy anyway will sometimes have their first seizures during fevers.
