Dear Doctor I have thyroid but after delivery last year(7april) my reports are completely normal.I have done test twice and reports are normal.Should i continue taking medicines?

ExpertDr Prerna PatelObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. are you taking medication since pregnancy till now and thn doing thyroid tedt ?? if on medications the reports are normal thn you need to go fr the tsh level without medication .if normal you can plan to discontinue it after consukting the doctor with fresh report

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. If pregnant women are treated with L-thyroxine for isolated maternal hypothyroxinaemia, they too can stop the drug after delivery. We suggest these women, who stop L-thyroxine after delivery, should have an assessment of thyroid function about 6 weeks after the delivery,"
