#asktheexperts what should I do when baby is not release potty after 3 to 4 days...

A. Stool pattern of small children changes from time to time. It can be more than 7 times per day also and sometimes the child will not pass stool for 10 days also. The most important thing is the consistency of the stool and if it is Semi solid to solids or semi liquid then there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour as well as the smell of the stool Also straining and crying while passing urine and stool is very normals. the crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation

A. If your baby is only being breastfed or chestfed they may not poop every day. This is because their body can use up almost all the components of breast milk for nutrition and there is very little left that needs to be eliminated. After the first 3 to 6 weeks or so, they can go even a whole week without a poop
