A. Ragi (finger millet) – very high in iron → ragi porridge, dosa Spinach (keerai) – mash well or add to dal Lentils (paruppu) – moong dal, toor dal, masoor dal Dates (perichampazham) – soak & mash or mix in milk Beetroot – puree, poriyal, or dosa batter mix Chickpeas (kondakadalai) – mash or sundal (soft) Sesame seeds (ellu) – powder and add to food

A. Hello! All green leafy vegetables are very good, pomegranate can be added, beetroot’s are highly useful for iron rich foods. You can get in touch with your consulting paediatrician to guide you further on this matter.
