#asktheexperts Recently my child was having throat pain and when we visited doctor she advised it was due to tonsillitis and since it was dark red in color . She advised to go for tonsillitis operation Can you suggest if it’s required to go for operation or can we take any home remedies and get cured from it

No First I would recommend you to consult an ENT doctor get a proper testing done because for tonsils also test is done to confirm what is the grade of totonsils and accordingly if there is a need for surgery you can go for it it is safe to be done and it’s one of the most common surgery for kids
