#asktheexperts My son is 8 months old. His birth weight was 3kg. Now he is weighing 10 kgs. I recently read an article quoting babies triple birth weight by 1 year age. I am worried if my son is overweight? Kindly share your insights about this and measures I must follow to control his weight gain.

thats fine
weight is a range
but avoid too much of ghee or potatoes
give fruits
soup rice
rice dal blends
continue breastfeeding for baby

Author of questionMom of a 3 yr 2 m old boy2 years agoA. Thankyou for the response. I am providing him only home cooked meals with less ghee and fat containing food. I breastfeed him 4 to 5 times a day. Will breast milk contribute to weight gain? Should I reduce the breast feeding.
