Q.

#asktheexperts my daughter is of 8 months and she is taking breast feed even after meals just for sleeping. I am facing a lot of problem to wean her from breast feed, ideally how many time should I feed her now? and how should I start with top feed now or cow milk? should she be given a pacifier to soothe her instead of breast feed when her stomach is full ?

A. Hello dear parent! Pacifier is not advisable as it can cause delay in teething and might cause oral discomfort when not cleaned well. Continue feeding your baby well on demand. Try not offer to breastfeed your baby immediately after waking up. Try to put your baby back to sleep. Be patient and persistent in your efforts. Outside milk can be given only after one year completion.
