the most common cause of itching on the skin is due to dryness allergy and sometimes it might be due to skin allergy with multiple reasons. 
it is very important to find the cause otherwise it will not improve. 
if it is due to dry skin you can apply coconut oil again and again and if it is due to some other reasons like insect bite or drug reaction or any other pathology zyou can go for attarax anti itch lotion and then meet your doctor and do not apply any typze of powder or cream without medical consultation. 
give plenty of water to drink and remain in contact with your doctor.
also do not give any type of food or drinks which might cause allergy
