#asktheexperts My baby is 5 months old birth weight was 2.7 kg now he’s 5.5kg anything I can do for his weight gain he’s formula fed

Babies are expected to almost double their birth weight by age of 4 to 6 months and later triple by age of 1.
You can probably now introduce them to weaning foods as well intiially start with liquid consistency foods and gradually to semi solid and mashed foods
