#asktheexperts my baby has reduced babbling and saying only few words like maa and baba that too very few time in a day.what could be the reason? is it normal? she can hear very well. she is 10 month and 20 days old

A. age of the baby is only 10 month Try to converse with your baby often reduce screen time encourage peer play if the problem perissts beyond 3 years of age kindly consult developmental pediatrician for proper examination and medication speech therapy may be required o k ay

A. Hello good morning !! Check if baby's other motor skills are normal like crawling, sitting, Trying to Stand, responding to her name, responding to sounds, giving eye contact.. Keep talking avoid screen time if so engage in activities giving soft toys, utensils to play , playing music and encouraging to stand. Initially they talk 3-5 words mama,baba,dada and bla bla babbling with drooling call her by name and other family members by relation , general simple commands soon she will imitate you by words.
