#asktheexperts May baby's birth weight was 2.86 Kgs, now after 6 week her weight is 3.96 Kgs. Is it normal or she had gained less weight? Till date she is exclusively breast feeding baby. Please advice, if we are required to give her any TOP UP feed through Formula Milk.

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. its not bad. better to show to a specialist and get the right opinion as soon as you can. In such cases you can talk to a doctor and get some blood tests done to reach to a conclusion

Hi The child has gained 1100 g in two months that’s definitely a very healthy weight gain a minimum of 300 g is considered quite nice everyone that means a child is gaining appropriate so you’re in the child is gaining about 550 g every month so it’s definitely very very good
