#asktheexperts I want to ask my baby is sucking thumb all the time and I can’t let her to do so may you suggest me how can we get rid of this?

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician4 years agoA. hi your baby is 5 months old now at this age thumb sucking is normal phenomenon and you need not worry or you can use a pacifier or artificial teat

NikithaMom of a 11 yr old boy4 years agoA. hello baby can be sucking its thumb just to soothe itself and it will get rid of it as it grows which may not be a problem and you can also try to distract your child which would also help baby to get rod of the habit and is just a phase which may not be a problem now at this age
