#asktheexperts I'm getting hives in my skin all over the body from last 14days i was taking medication which was given by skin doctor but it was not controlled is it goes to my baby through breastfeeding?? how to treat it

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician2 years agoA. depends on the type if medication you are taking kindly consult your doctor for proper examination and medication It's hard to comment upon without proper examination it would be better if you consult your doctor for proper examination and medication maintain hygeine in the area clean with Luke warm water maintain hydration and keep a track on urine output

Hives can be due to hormonal changes after delivery..It can take some time to subside.
U must have told ur doctor that you are breastfeeding mother as the medication would have been prescribed that are safe to consume
