#asktheexperts Hydrocele in my new born baby boy. Pediatrician suggested to wait for 2-3 months and consult her after that for further examination. why it happens in newborn and what are future complications

A. In this here it is very difficult to comment properly until a proper examination or assessment is done to find out the exact cause so it is adyvisable to jconsult your doctor so that he could examine and evaluate properly and will guide you accordingly for this .

A. Closed hydroceles usually go away with time in infants. If the hydrocele has not disappeared by the time your son turns 1 or becomes very large, he may need surgery. Communicating hydroceles persisting for more than a year generally require surgery to prevent future complications.
