#asktheexperts Hello doctor Meri beti ko kal 14week ka vaccine lagaya hai. Fever up n down ho raha hai. Abhi usko 38.6 fever hai. Jo paracetamol prescribed ki hai vo asar nahi kar rahi kya karu plz help she is continually crying.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamdol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection ssite.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues bedyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
