#asktheexperts A parenting Question has been shared with you! #asktheexperts Hi doc my son is 7years old and fully vaccinate and got his dpt shot on 28th dec 2022, last night he got hurt (minor scratch)inhouse by bed nail my question is Is he still required Tetanus Injevction

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. as the child has received tetanus vaccine last year only so there is no need to give tetanus vaccine now
if your child has completed the regular vaccination there is no need to go for tetanus vaccination at this age because it is already covered in the national immunisation schedule.
if the injury or cut is very dirty enough then the final decision of tetanus vaccine will be taken by the doctor.
