A. After 6 months, babies can be introduced to animal milk like cow's milk in small amounts, but it should not replace breast milk or formula as the main drink until 1 year. Milk can be used in small quantities while preparing foods like porridge or kheer. Always boil and cool the milk to lukewarm before giving. You may add a small amount of jaggery for taste, but avoid too much sugar. Do not give cold milk to babies. Continue breastfeeding or formula as the main source of nutrition and slowly introduce solids and milk-based dishes.
