#AskTheExpert will I get pregnant even if I exclusively breastfeed my baby ? what are the chances for pregnancy without getting periods after delivery and what are the contraceptive methods available?

A. yes even in that case you can get pregnant during lactational amenorrhea so you need to use proper contraceptive method you can use contraceptive injection which needs to be repeated every three months or you can get property inserted which is a long term method

A. Hi, there are high chances of getting pregnancy. During breastfeeding also you will get pregnancy if you have not taken any precautions. There are different ways to take precautions. Please avoid taking contraceptive pills or any medications. Consult your gynaecologist she will be the best person to advise you with the safety measurements.
