#AskTheExpert sir my daughter has been given DPT between 16-18 month should get her a tetanus shot given if she falls and get a cut.She is 4 years old currently and her next vaccination is due at 5.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. if your child has completed the regular vaccination there is no need to go for tetanus vaccination at this age because it is already covered in the national immunisation schedule.
if the injury or cut is very dirty enough then the final decision of tetanus vaccine will be taken by the doctor.
