#AskTheExpert Sir after the third vaccine three days in a row he is crying and screaming after 10 pm and it's taking 2 hours for us to pacify him. we are giving him calpol, colicaid, colimex. day time he is alright just after 10 pm thid happening every day after the third vaccine.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to wguorry.
Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain.
Thrombophobe ointment can hbe applied in acute pain and swelling .
