#AskTheExpert my weight has not been increasing post pregnancy.. it was a normal delivery and baby is now 18 months old.. my weight is 10 kg reduced from what it was before pregnancy.. routine checkups were good.. please advise if that is normal during breastfeeding

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. you are losing a lot of weight which is not normal Further it is advisable to consult your local doctor for appropriate advice in this regard if there is need for investigations also

If You are not gaining any weight then I think you should stop breastfeeding your child which is what is going to help because I think whatever you are gaining is taken by your child in terms of breastfeeding stop breastfeeding your child completely and see if the weight becomes normal after that
