#asktheexpert my son is of 23 months he is having hole in his heart and also veins are crossed... after my delivery only doctors detected this problem... at that time they said its not a major problem and they will fix it with a surgery but yesterday doctors assistant told me that open heart surgery will be done... is it true? please help me guiding through this.. am in lots of pain

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist1 Year agoA. Yes, most of the time so the baby will require open heart surgery and sometimes a two or three stages might also be needed to have a detailed discussion with your doctor and pain can be managed with medication’s.
