#asktheexpert my son is 8 months old he doesn't sit. what shud I do

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. sitting without support and crawling in children may sometimes come after one year of age also.
if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry. just take care of regular diet and baby massage which will help in strengtheningc the muscles needed for sitting and crawling.
in some cases crawling may be absent in children and directly the child will begin to stand with support and later walk with support and then without support.
take a medical check up done to confirm if there is need of any intervention.

If your child is unable to sit independently by the age of 8 1/2 to 9 months also then in that case of physical assessment with your doctor would be required to check if there is a problem or any issue or delay in the growth of your child physically in terms of sitting specially
