#AskTheExpert my son has cold and cough since last 40 days.. what to Do??

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and ecgxpectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a prroper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Also cover the baby's palm and feet with the oil for a quick relief. - Keep your kid hydrated: When your kid is going through a bout of sneezing and coughing, it is very important to keep him/her hydrated.
