Q.

#AskTheExpert My son got his arm burn with iron, now it has been recovered but we can see a burn mark on hand. Will that mark remain forever? What would be the proper treatment for it?

A. Thank you for the response. Burn was superficial as he grabbed press iron and quickly threw it. It created the burn bubble after 2 days and got punctured in further few days. Not it has been cured but I can see pink spot in that area. From your response it should fade away as he grows. Thank you very much for your help. Still you think ointment is required as suggested by other response? Thanks in advance..

A. Hello, your baby boy has a iron rogd burn on his hand so if the burn is deep down into muscles then only it will be seen otherwise it will fade-away automatically as he grows up

A. Mederma® for Kids™ should be evenly applied and gently massaged into the scar 3 times daily until fully absorbed for 8 weeks on newer scars and 3-6 months on older scars. Begin using Mederma® for Kids™ as soon as new skin has formed, typically two or more weeks after the injury or surgery.
