#AskTheExpert my some is having cold and cough past 4 days it’s not going in spite of giving medicine

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after agf proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reducef the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Sometime cold and cough can take more than six days to carefully. So you should definitely continue giving a medication as advised by you a doctor still your baby is not getting relieved and in such case you can also give some home remedies like it very little amount of turmeric in babies milk and also give 1 teaspoon of
