Q.
#asktheexpert my kid is suffering from fever since two days ( giving him p250 in intervals of 6hrs) . if taken liquids he is vomiting but in case of solids he is ok. but he is very weak and one eye turned red

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
armpit temperature of hundredz or more is considered as fever
to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normalz temperature water.
higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
