ExpertArchanaNutritionist4 years agoA. Hi mom, as your baby is of 8 months old and if she is happy, active and reaching her milestones, then nothing to worry about her weight.
on an average, we can expect baby to gain about 500 gm to 1 kg in a month, double at 6 months and triple at the age of 1 year compared to birth weight, small deviation is absolutely fine.
along with breastfeeding, you can offer variety of rice and dal water, porridge, homemade cerelac, fruit puree, smashed banana, chikkoo, vegetables puree, clear veg soup, nuts paste, etc. and use ghee in her meal preparations.
feed her on regular intervals after 2 hours
follow good hygiene
avoid force feeding and overfeeding.
